Job Purpose and Context
SunGard Public Sector (Aspiren) is continuing to expand the service it provides to Local Authorities in the UK. As part of this expansion, further functionality will be provided to the portfolio of SaaS hosted systems, covering decision support, performance management reporting and statutory reporting to central government.
To help facilitate this continued growth, SunGard Public Sector are looking to recruit an ASP.net developer to the team.
Outline of Routine Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
The role includes:
- Developing web applications used by our wide client base
- Working in both server and client side technologies
- Utilising agile development methodology
- Provide 3rd line support for live systems

Essential Skills:
- 3+ year experience of the full Microsoft web stack with technologies such as ASP.NET, C# MS-SQL, Web Services
- JavaScript knowledge, with experience of using modern frameworks and libraries such and JQuery.
- Passion for emerging web trends and technologies
- Demonstrable portfolio of web sites and projects
- Technology based degree
Desirable Skills:
- Extjs
- Knowledge of modern development techniques such as TDD, Continuous integration and related tools.
- ASP.NET MVC.
- Additional certifications such as Microsoft MCPD Web Developer, MCSD, or MCAD certification.
